In my case, I do have bit Office and I do work with complex Excel workbook. But I also need Mendeley to run and the issue I am facing is that word plugin won\’t install. I have uninstalled Office package and re-installed. I have uninstalled Mendeley desktop several times.

Perhaps you should try bit Office. Microsoft do not recommend the use of bit Office unless you are running very large, very complex Excel Workbooks. It is the responsibility of third party application developers such as Elsevier and Mendeley to ensure that their products are compatible with Office. There is no way that Microsoft can be held accountable for issues with such products.

I have the same problem as others. The Microsoft build at the end of January crashed my computer. I then had to re-install everything before anyone says you should have had restore points, I had 6 and none of them worked.

I installed the university Office which worked with Mendeley before but, now, for some reason, it no longer works. Mendeley was recently acquired by Elsevier and something got messed up. I need to be able to continue with my PhD so if someone has an answer on how to fix this without a lot of theory as to how it came about and the lessons we all must learn, I would appreciate a straight answer to fixing this problem.

Elsevier, Mendeley and Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves for not being professional enough to work together and make sure your customers are not inconvenienced with your unnecessary changes.
